“...strive with all your might to remain as you are called by God, and to seek and desire all the ways and means necessary to persevere.” Preface to the Rule
No matter your vocation in life, at some point early on, we realized that we were called by God to be someone special or to do something special. A great part of this call came from the times we listened to the whisperings of God in the people, experiences, and events around us, as well as the stirrings of the Spirit in our hearts.
These “whisperings” were leading us in a direction that seemed to match our gifts and talents, our desires and hopes, our dreams and vision. Whatever we decided to be or do, in the end, God has given us the graces to pursue and persevere in all that our vocation has asked of us, both in the good times and the more difficult times. Let us lean on God when we most need the energy and push (grace) to continue.
