“If (God) directs and teaches you, you will be well instructed.” 7th Counsel
We all remember certain teachers who were our favorites for a variety of reasons. These special teachers left some impression on us because of their personality, interest in us as individuals, kindness, patience, understanding, the way they taught a certain subject, humor, and many other reasons.
Now here we are at the beginning of another school year with all sorts of opportunities to be a special "someone" to students here at SUA. It makes no difference whether we are classroom teachers, staff, coaches, support personnel, parents, or administrators. Whatever our contact with the students, St. Angela reminds us that the greatest Source of wisdom is our God.
As our parents instilled elements of faith in our lives as young children, so too, we have a responsibility to pass on elements of our faith to our students. Learning how to listen to the voice of God in our lives and then responding in a loving, compassionate way is the invitation before us as we begin our journey together.
Calling upon God each morning as we begin with prayer is the perfect way to bring all God's guidance and wisdom into our day and our conversations. To be our best selves, we go to the Master Teacher. Let God be your GPS (Global Positioning System) throughout the coming year!
