Basketball Camps

SUA Arrow Aim High Summer Basketball Camp: Girls entering grades 1st- 7th are invited to come and experience first class coaching dedicated to teaching fundamentals and game management. Girls will be divided to age groups in each gym and given the best coaches for their age. We will strive to give each player the opportunity to "Aim High" and reach a higher level of basketball and have fun during their time with the camp staff.

Grades: 1-7

The Arrow Basketball Staff is excited to offer a second week of camps in July joining with Former NBA player and UT Hall of Famer Steve Mix. The camps will be from July 17- 20 for both girls and boys. 3 Sessions are offered.

Skills Camp:

Our skills camp will consist of three full days of the area’s most comprehensive curriculum on the offensive and defensive skills required to address the complete player. It’s innovative and disciplined approach to player development by the academy’s most competent staff; provide an environment that will accelerate the growth of the young player. These are excellent learning conditions, due to a 10:1 coaching ratio

Post and Perimeter Combination Camp

This program will show you how to improve and change your game so you can take it to the next level. You will learn how to improve your individual offensive and post moves and the counters that go with them.

Dates: July 17-20
Time: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Fee: $40

1 Day Shooting Clinic- Campers will be split into age brackets and skill level

This program is designed to teach each camper how to be an effective shooter and help you become a scorer. You will learn how to create space, shooting off the dribble, shooting in transition, how to use ball screens, power finishes, speed finishes, and much more.

Golf Camp

Camp will be held at The Claire Batista Golf Academy at The Legacy. Instructors include Jim McGowan, SUA Varsity Coach; Claire Batista, PGA golf professional, Head PGA professional at The Legacy, and former UT Golf Coach, and members of the Arrow Golf Team. Cost covers two days of personal instruction in the three basic elements of golf- swing, chipping/pitching and putting in addition to on course instruction and games.

Soccer Camp

Varsity Soccer Coach Chris Black (NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, 2009 Ohio North Olympic Development Program Girls Developmental Head Coach, Ohio North USSF Instructional Staff) will head a coaching staff of SUA coaches and former SUA players. The SUA Soccer Camp will benefit all levels of players by focusing on increasing the individual technical ability of each player through isolating the technical skills without pressure, then repetition in game realistic situations utilizing short-sided games to keep higher ball-to-player interaction ratios, and generate success. SUA Soccer Camp will allow young players to work with highly-accomplished coaches and gain a look into one of the most successful soccer programs in Northwest Ohio.

Volleyball Camps

SUA Head Coach, Sydney Antonio, will direct the camps with help from her staff, as well as from past and present varsity team members. Coach Antonio has been involved with SUA volleyball for 9 plus years and will continue to lead successful camps to help the development of each player.

Advanced All Skills Volleyball Camp

We ask that each player that comes to this camp plays on a competitive volleyball team with a fast pace, and as an athlete with an eagerness to get better!

Grades: 5, 6, 7, 8
Dates: July 10 - 13
Time: 2:30 – 5:30 p.m.
Fee: $75

Volleyball Defensive Camp

This camp is designed for athletes entering grades 5 – 8 and is ideal for those who wish to train as a defensive specialist or libero. Major emphasis will be placed on body posture, footwork, digging techniques, as well as advanced floor and ball handling skills.

Grades: 5, 6, 7, 8 (Max Class Size: 48)

Time: 12:00 – 2:00 p.m.

Volleyball Setter Camp

Setting camp is designed for athletes entering grades 6-8. This position specific camp is geared for those who want to train strictly at the setter position. The technique packed sessions are led by Kaycie Perillo former college setter and SUA alum, with emphasis placed on: hand position, body posture, footwork patterns, release location, as well as decision-making and various different "play sets.”

Little Arrow Volleyball Camp FULL

This beginner’s camp will focus on introducing all aspects of volleyball skills including serving, passing, and game play.

Serving Camp

This camp will focus on introducing all aspects of serving.

Grades: 5, 6, 7, 8 (Max class size: 48)

Time: 12:00 – 2:00 p.m.

Lacrosse Camp

The Lacrosse Staff will direct the camp with help from past and present varsity team members. The varsity lacrosse team has won the City League Championship with an undefeated league record in 2006-2012. The varsity has also gone to the State Division I Final Four in 2004, 2005, and 2006, and the Elite Eight in 2008, 2009 and 2010. The camp will cover the fundamental skills of the game: passing, catching, cradling, scooping, and shooting. We will also cover offensive and defensive play of the game. There will be drills and scrimmage games. Beginners & intermediate. Required equipment: lacrosse stick, goggles, mouth guard.

Time: 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Softball Camp

Varsity Head Coach Jeff Eisenbrandt will direct the camp with help from past and present varsity team members. The camp will cover the fundamental skills of the game: hitting, pitching, fielding, and base running. Offensive and defensive strategies will also be covered. Beginners and intermediate. Required equipment: glove, helmet, bat.

Grades: 5, 6, 7, 8, incoming 9th graders

Time: 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
