Students from St. Ursula Academy, who play in the St. John’s Jesuit Marching Band, recently enjoyed an exciting trip to Florida to play at Disney World and college football’s Outback Bowl on New Year’s Day. Band members, instructors and family members traveled by coach to Orlando on December 26th for a week of fun and music. The highlight of their three days at Disney included performing in a parade in the park. The following day the band continued on to Tampa for the National Outback Bowl Festival. They participated in the New Year’s Eve pre‐bowl parade, and played in a pre‐game as well as a half‐time show with up to twenty other high school bands as a massed band performance. The game and the parade were seen by over 50,000 spectators.
