St. Ursula Academy's Jamye Cox Makes U.S. Women's Junior National Training Team
St. Ursula Academy (SUA) junior, Jamye Cox (Oregon, OH) has been selected as a member of USA Volleyball's 2016 U.S. Women's Junior National Training Team (WJNTT). The 19-player roster includes eight outside hitters/opposites, five middles, three setter and three liberos. Jamye, a libero, has played for St. Ursula Academy's varsity volleyball program for the past three years helping to the lead the team to 3 league titles, 3 sectional titles, and 3 district titles. Jamye has committed to continuing her volleyball career at Michigan State in 2017 upon graduation from SUA.
The WJNTT is set to begin training the week of July 11 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The final 12-player roster for the U.S. Women's Junior National Team will be selected on July 19. The final 12 will compette in the USA Volleyball High Performance Championships held July 19-23 in Ft. Lauderdale. The team will then compete in the NORCECA Women's U20 Continental Championship from July 24 to August 1 at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale.
