TOLEDO, Ohio (WNWO) — St. Ursula Academy will soon have a brand new look.
The school officially broke ground on some new renovations Tuesday night.
It's adding a new theater, renovating the main office, creating another science lab and opening up the cafeteria into a campus commons area.
The Bound Together fundraising campaign has already raised a majority of the $5.5 million needed.
"St. Ursula community has been incredibly supportive. Our alumni, past parents, current parents, faculty and staff, it is an incredible community. As an alumna of st. Ursula, and my three daughters attended as well, I'm just so proud of the unity that we have," said President Mary Werner.
Phase one of construction will be done this summer.
Phase two starts next year, and will improve the athletic fields behind the school.
