Careers
St. Ursula Academy, founded in 1854, is Toledo’s oldest, fully accredited, all-female, Catholic college preparatory school, serving grades 6-12. Located in the heart of Ottawa Hills, the school’s enrollment is 642 students, with an 12:1 student-teacher ratio.
We are focused on developing the whole person. Integral to this development is our commitment to an equitable and inclusive school community that respects the rich diversity of our students, faculty, staff, and families.
In 2021, St. Ursula Academy earned the distinction of becoming the first National Girls’ Leadership School in the country, offering The Leadership Program in its curriculum as a mandatory class for every student, beginning with the Class of 2025. The Leadership Program’s mission is to bring intentional, equitable, and evidence-based leadership development to the academic school day.
At SUA, we believe in lighting the path for each of our students, allowing each girl to discover her unique educational journey. No two girls are the same, so no two girls should follow the same path. We know that our faculty and staff members are unique, too. We listen to your ideas and customize a teaching schedule/co-curricular experience that meets our needs and the needs of our students while reflecting your strengths and interests.
Our faculty and staff members value the relationships they have with our students. They appreciate the collaboration that they experience among their colleagues and the team atmosphere that permeates our school.
Whether you are just starting out in your career or a veteran—or somewhere in between—check out the opportunities to be part of a team who feels that SUA is like a second home!
Benefits for full-time employees include employer-covered health/dental/vision/life insurance plans, paid sick days, paid personal day(s), and enrollment in a defined benefit pension plan (where SUA contributes 6.5%). Additional benefits include faith opportunities, an employee assistance program, a professional development reimbursement plan, mentoring, an employee tuition discount for SUA students, and the New Hire Cohort Program.
