Miss Amy Muszynski, SUA's social studies department chair and a teacher in the JA and high school, won the Chick-fil-A Teacher of the Year award for her dedication to students and her famous love for the company’s products.
Nominated by colleague Mrs. Rachael Polte and students in the JA, the entry noted that “Miss M. loves Chick-fil-A and is awesome!” Mrs. Polte organized the students to vote for Muszynski.
Corporate representatives visited SUA to surprise Miss M. with the award and to treat her to a year’s worth of breakfast sandwiches. They also provided the faculty and staff with lunch and the students with coupons for a free breakfast sandwich.
Miss M. is a 2004 SUA graduate, has been teaching at her alma mater for 13 years, and is the Varsity Softball Head Coach for the Arrows. As a student, she was a member of the state championship softball team in 2004.
