What are you most proud of being affiliated with SUA?
St. Ursula Academy profoundly impacted me as a student, but even more so as an alumna. Since graduating in 1995, the confidence, spirituality, leadership skills, and lifelong friendships I gained at SUA are a part of my daily life. Whenever I meet a fellow Arrow, we almost always share the same deep appreciation for our time at SUA and the lasting influence it has had. The culture of SUA is both uplifting and empowering, providing young women with the support and strength they need at a critical time in their lives.
What SUA Core Value is most meaningful to you, and why?
Care of the Individual—nurturing each student's unique strengths and empowering her to reach her highest potential—is the core value that has had the greatest impact on my life. At SUA, I learned to recognize my own strengths and channel my energy toward them, a lesson that has been invaluable in shaping both my career and personal life. I believe that true leadership is rooted in respect—treating everyone with grace and dignity. This philosophy has guided me in building and managing teams throughout my career, and in helping my own children discover and embrace their unique strengths.
If you had to tell a stranger why you support SUA, what would you say?
I support St. Ursula Academy because it is a transformative environment that shapes young women into confident, compassionate leaders. The core values of SUA aren’t just words on a wall—they are a part of daily life, evident in every interaction with students, teachers, parents, and alumnae. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel the impact of these values, which have remained steadfast for generations. SUA is a place where young girls grow into strong, self-aware women, guided by the foundation established by the Ursuline Sisters and St. Angela Merici. It not only provides an exceptional education but also instills a deep sense of purpose, preparing young women to lead with integrity and strength in all aspects of life. I want as many young girls as possible in Toledo to have the same opportunity I had, to grow, lead, and thrive in an environment that truly empowers them. I hope to see future generations continue to learn through service and reflection, understanding that even the smallest acts of kindness and leadership can create a meaningful impact on the world.
