Jennifer (Robertson) Guzman '95
Junior Academy Program Director
How long have you been a part of the SUA community?
Three years officially, and 32 years total
What is your position/affiliation to SUA?
Director of the Junior Academy, alumna of the Class of 1995, parent of a ’15 alumna
What are you most proud of being affiliated with SUA?
The Junior Academy girls make me proud every day. Their courage to step out of their comfort zone, the growth mind set they embrace when faced with a challenge, and their loving spirit when interacting with each other constantly inspires me. To see them grow in confidence, knowledge, and faith from August through May is a blessing. It makes me proud to call them my Arrow sisters.
What SUA Core Value is most meaningful to you, and why?
Community! We have an amazing community of students, parents, teachers, and staff that make SUA feel like home. When I joined SUA three years ago as the JA Director, I received the love and support that made me feel like I did when I walked these halls as a high schooler. The spirit of St. Angela fosters a special connection throughout our community that is truly life-giving.
How she has impacted students:
“Mrs. Guzman is a perfect example of a ‘school mom.’ She always has snacks in her office, and she appreciates when past students visit her. If you need someone to talk to, want someone to help you with something, or just feel like passing time while you wait for your ride after school, she is always available with an open door. Mrs. Guzman is the kindest person you’ll meet. If you get to know her, whenever you see her, you’ll most definitely get a ‘hi’ or a ‘how are you doing?’ Simple interactions with her make my day a lot brighter, and I promise it will do the same for everyone else!”
