Inside SUA: Isaiah Hicks

Isaiah Hicks
Assistant Athletic Director and Social Studies Faculty

How long have you been a part of the SUA community?
This is my fifth year at SUA.

What is your position/affiliation to SUA?
Assistant Athletic Director and Faculty Member

What are you most proud of being affiliated with SUA?
I am proud of the positive impact that the Afro-Club students have at SUA. The girls put a lot of effort into giving back to their SUA community whether through service projects or through their annual presentation during Black History Month. Seeing them empowered and eager to share their talents has been a proud moment for me.

What SUA Core Value is most meaningful to you, and why?
Community—I believe that having a strong, supportive community is an integral part in ensuring that individuals are constantly learning from and growing with each other.

How he has impacted students:
“Mr. Hicks has made a huge impact on my time at SUA. He has instilled in me a strong sense of confidence which helps me remember to try and have a positive outlook no matter the outcome. There is never a dull moment when we talk. He always knows the right thing to say no matter the situation. He has been a major part of my support system at SUA.”
