Arrows Making an Impact: Molly McCabe ’11

Before attending St. Ursula Academy, Molly McCabe was a student at St. Pius X. During her time at SUA, she was involved in extracurricular activities, participating in volleyball and lacrosse, was an ambassador, and was active in Campus Ministry and the National Honors Society. Some of her fondest memories include the excitement of pep rallies during eighth-grade visitation week and Intramural Week.

After graduating from SUA in 2011, Molly attended John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio. Her journey eventually led her to stay in Cleveland, a city she came to love through college, a year of service, and her first job. The friendships and experiences she gained there made it a special place.

Living and working away from home has been an adventure for Molly, filled with valuable life lessons. She discovered her resilience and ability to adapt, proving to herself that with determination and support, she can achieve anything. Her journey has taken her through college, service work, and various jobs, ultimately leading her to a new career as a PA-C.

Being an SUA graduate has provided her with a strong network of supportive and like-minded women. She encourages prospective students to trust their instincts—if SUA feels like home, it’s the right choice. She believes being surrounded by determined and compassionate young women will help students grow into their best selves.

A surprising fact about Molly? She didn’t always know she wanted to be a physician assistant. It wasn’t until years after college that a family friend introduced her to the idea. Molly did her research and eventually pursued and graduated with a Master of Medical Science (MMSc), Physician Assistant. Her story proves that it’s never too late to change paths to pursue something new with passion and have fun along the way.

Molly was recently awarded the Ursuline College Physician Assistant Students’ Saint Angela Merici Mission Legacy Award, Class of 2024. She received this recognition for her demonstrated service, leadership, and Christ-like compassion. Molly now lives in North Carolina, where she is a PA-C, a title given to healthcare professionals who have met the certification requirements of the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
