Dr. Mariah Truscinski '11 began her education at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns before attending St. Ursula Academy (SUA).
While at SUA, she immersed herself in extracurricular activities and excelled in volleyball, a passion that shaped her high school experience. Winning the state championship her senior year is one of her favorite memories of SUA.
After playing volleyball for one year at DePaul University, she transferred to the University of Toledo, eventually pursuing medical school there.
Her education culminated with three years of residency training in emergency medicine, during which time she became part of Emergency Physicians of Northwest Ohio.
Reflecting on her SUA experience, Truscinski offers advice to her 18-year-old self: appreciate hard work, push for academic excellence, and nurture meaningful relationships.
Truscinski was the first in her family to pursue a medical career. Today, she mentors aspiring physicians, including her younger brother.
From SUA student to emergency medicine physician, Truscinski embraces the power of education and determination, as well as a steadfast commitment to helping others.
