Arrows Making an Impact: Macy Crowell ’21

As a proud St. Ursula Academy alumna, Macy Crowell’s journey started at Springfield-Holloway Elementary before moving on to SUA, where she became an integral part of her school community. Macy enjoyed serving as a Student Ambassador for open houses and 8th Grade Visitations. However, her most cherished experience at SUA was being part of the yearbook staff.

“Yearbook was a great way to get to know other students through interviews and photo sessions,” she recalls. “We worked together to capture memories during our senior year while fighting the challenges that COVID brought.” Despite the difficulties of the pandemic, her staff’s resilience shined as they united to preserve the spirit of their class in a unique and unforgettable yearbook.

After graduating, she moved to Bowling Green, Ohio, where she pursued a business management degree at Bowling Green State University’s Schmidthorst College of Business. Set to graduate this December, her academic journey is just the beginning of her many accomplishments.

One standout moment during her college years was her involvement in the National Kidney Foundation Toledo Walk, where she raised an impressive $1,400 in just two weeks. Her passion for making a difference reflects the heart of SUA’s mission. "This money goes towards providing a lifeline for families, offering hope and support when it feels like there’s nowhere else to turn. They're pushing for breakthroughs in transplantation so more people can get off the waitlist and back to living their lives,” she explains.

In addition to her advocacy, she has pursued creative outlets, surprising many with her dual roles as a real estate and lifestyle photographer. When asked what advice she would give current SUA students, she emphasizes the importance of sisterhood: “The sisterhood continues beyond graduation. The support and love will always be there in ways you may not even recognize.”

Her story is a testament to the lasting impact of St. Ursula Academy’s values, from the bonds of friendship to the drive for success. As she moves forward in her career, her contributions to her community and her memories of SUA will remain close to her heart.
