Arrows Making an Impact: Lindsay Sullivan ’07

Lindsay Sullivan, a proud member of St. Ursula Academy’s Class of 2007, grew up hearing about the warm and welcoming atmosphere of SUA from her aunt, Tricia Sullivan ’87, and other friends who attended the school. She recalls how friendship bonds formed, including playing softball during her freshman and sophomore years and participating in beloved intramural events.

After graduating from SUA, Lindsay continued her academic journey at Bowling Green State University while working at a major cinema in the area. Her experience in management and customer service eventually led her to support several local taverns, using her skills to help these businesses thrive. However, the pandemic—a time of unprecedented challenges for many—shifted her career trajectory in ways she could never have imagined.

When the world slowed down, Lindsay’s creativity surged. Her occasional indulgence in watching cookie-baking videos on Instagram transformed into a full-fledged passion for baking. As a self-taught baker, Lindsay embarked on a journey to explore recipes and trends, from classic confections to the most intricate and innovative creations. What started as a personal hobby quickly evolved into a business, and Lindsay found her niche in crafting exquisitely decorated royal icing sugar cookies.

Lindsay’s baking is nothing short of artistry. Each cookie is a canvas for her creativity, displaying vivid colors and three-dimensional designs that bring her edible masterpieces to life. Drawing inspiration from social media platforms and connecting with renowned cookie-baking influencers, Lindsay honed her craft to Food Network-worthy levels. Her attention to detail and commitment to excellence have garnered admiration from both local customers and industry peers.

But Lindsay’s impact goes beyond her artistic talent. Her cookies have become a symbol of celebration and community. From birthdays to weddings, and corporate events to charity fundraisers, her Bakers Baked LLC creations bring joy and connection to countless people. By collaborating with community organizations and supporting local events, Lindsay’s work has fostered a sense of togetherness during a time when people needed it most. Her business not only highlights her skills but also highlights the values she learned at SUA: creativity, perseverance, and a commitment to uplifting others.

Lindsay Sullivan’s journey from SUA to a successful entrepreneur exemplifies the power of passion and adaptability. Her story serves as an inspiration to current SUA students and alumnae, reminding them that life’s unexpected turns can lead to extraordinary opportunities.
