President’s Welcome

Welcome to St. Ursula Academy!

We know that your daughter means the world to you. You have a vision for her and her future.

  • If that vision includes stellar academics, preparing her for college and her career beyond, you’ve come to the right place.
  • If that vision includes developing her leadership skills, self-confidence, and resilience through a nationally recognized leadership development program, you’ve come to the right place.
  • If that vision includes her deepening her faith in God and compassionate service to others, you’ve come to the right place.
  • If that vision includes her meeting new girls who become friends for a lifetime, you’ve come to the right place.

That’s our Mission—and your daughter’s journey is in the center of it all.

Although SUA is 168 years old, our mission remains timeless. We have nurtured and empowered generations of young women in a culture that is positive and joyful. That SUA “feeling,” although difficult to articulate and define, is real!

At SUA, we prepare young women for college—but most importantly for a life of meaning.

How do we do that?  How does our community change lives? Our “how” is in our Ursuline Core Values. Ursuline spirituality, academic excellence, and leadership are the cornerstones, supported by a sense of community, openness to change, care of the individual, development of the whole person, and service to others.

SUA’s joyful learning environment focuses on developing the whole girl to achieve her unique potential. At SUA, girls are known and valued. They are not just a number. A “growth mindset” permeates every bit of the classroom experience. By helping our students change the way they think about learning, we also help them change the way they act.

We know that for many of your daughters, it is hard to leave grade school friends behind. But trust me—she will find her lifelong friends in these hallways. I did, and I am still best friends with many of the Arrows I met in the halls of SUA.

With parent satisfaction rates consistently at 95 percent or higher and 100 percent of SUA graduates accepted to four-year colleges, earning millions of dollars in scholarships, the value of an SUA education is also real.

I invite you to learn more. Come visit SUA. Feel for yourself that warm welcome from the moment you step into our building. I look forward to meeting you!

Soli Deo Gloria!
