On March 25, 2019, St. Ursula Academy juniors Caroline Scott and Savannah Hinojosa were honored at the Monsignor Jerome E. Schmidt 21st Annual Youth Foundation Dinner. Caroline received the Bishop James R. Hoffman Scholarship and Savannah the Harold M. Lincoln Scholarship.

The Youth Foundation was established in 1991 to perpetuate the work of Monsignor Jerome E. Schmit who worked with young people in the Toledo diocese. Through the Monsignor Jerome E. Schmit Youth Foundation, scholarships are presented to eligible Metro-Toledo Catholic high school students who maintain a certain GPA and demonstrate financial need.
