St. Ursula Academy hosted its annual Serata di Gala fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022. This event, now in its tenth year, raised more than $170,000 and nearly $1.2 million in ten years, with all funds going directly to scholarships.
Mary Werner ’74, president of St. Ursula Academy, said, “Through Serata Di Gala and the scholarship dollars raised, our supporters create opportunities for deserving students throughout the region to experience the academic excellence, the sisterhood, and a faith-filled learning environment that are the hallmark of our 168-year tradition. The legacy created through their generosity makes a difference in the lives of hundreds of deserving young women in our community, opening doors to undeniable opportunities for our students.
SUA also honored Dick LaValley, Jr.; Janet Helfrich ’64; and Joyce (Murtagh) Stengle ’82 for their leadership and service, as well as their belief in the SUA mission.
SUA’s Special Events Manager and host of the annual gala Michelle Moses, said, “This event brings together the entire SUA community—alumnae, current parents, past parents, grandparents, and friends of SUA—to support our girls, celebrate Ursuline education, and reinforce our strong community bonds.”
