SUA Dance Team Earns National Rankings
St. Ursula Academy

Toledo, OH—St. Ursula Academy (SUA) is proud to announce that its Dance Team earned two prestigious rankings at the Universal Dance Association (UDA) national tournament at the ESPN Wide World of Sports facility in Orlando, Fla., on Sunday, Feb. 3: fourth in the nation in Small Varsity Pom and 13th in the nation in Small Varsity Jazz.

The team competed in a field of 96 national high schools in the Jazz category and 84 schools in the Pom category.

Varsity Dance Team coach Morgan Melchert said, “Year after year, this team's hard work, commitment, and perseverance amazes me. This season, I pushed the team to take it to the next level, and again they exceeded my expectations with our highest finish yet.  I am so grateful to have this talented, intelligent, and passionate group of girls on the team, and I’m excited to see what the future holds for them.”

Members of the team include seniors Kylie Ceglio, Rae Glover, and Tori Hicks; juniors Grace Cubberly, Kelly Garrison, Kenedie Morr, and Jessie O'Loughlin; sophomores Lanie Herl, Molly Kalucki, Serena O'Loughlin, and Kate Polizzi; and freshmen Kailyn Blakeman and Lauren Wainz.

St. Ursula Academy, founded in 1854, is Toledo’s oldest, fully accredited, all-female, Catholic college preparatory school serving grades six through twelve.  Located in the heart of Ottawa Hills, the school’s enrollment is 541 students with a 11:1 student-teacher ratio. SUA offers a full complement of honors and Advanced Placement classes, 13 varsity sports, and outstanding fine and performing arts programs.
