St. Ursula Academy presented prestigious graduation awards to several members of the Class of 2024 during its annual commencement exercise.
Mary Carol Kraus and Terri Gullatt are the recipients of the St. Angela Award, named for SUA’s foundress and given to a graduate who believes in the importance of Christian living with attitudes, values, and actions based on charity.
Kassidy Schroeder earned the Bishop’s Cross, given to a senior who has shown outstanding participation in all religious expressions of the school; has maintained an “A” or “B” average in Theology; has exhibited an attitude of cooperation and enthusiastic support for the school’s effort to build a caring, honest community; and has participated outside the school in religious projects and groups.
Mariah Britsch received the Mary Ann Gugger Award, presented to the senior who gave generous amounts of time to her school and embraced the SUA spirit.
Erynn Moloney received the inaugural Nichole Flores Heart of SUA Award, which recognizes a member of the Senior Class who best exemplifies Mrs. Flores’ love of SUA and commitment to our Ursuline core values, especially Academic Excellence and Care of the Individual.
In addition, the following students earned summa cum laude status, maintaining a grade point average of 4.4 or higher: Taleen Boman, Mary Carol Kraus, Reese Krell, Erynn Moloney, Kassidy Schroeder, and Katelyn Williams.
