SUA and St. John’s Jesuit Team Up to Collect Donations for Foodbanks
St. Ursula Academy

Toledo—St. Ursula Academy has joined with St. John’s Jesuit High School and Academy to collect donations of canned goods and other non-perishable food items to support the Seagate Food Bank and Mareda Center in downtown Toledo. These agencies particularly need canned fruits and vegetables. This community-wide collection will take place Tuesday through Friday, April 21-24.

Donations can be dropped off at either school on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 21 and 22, from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and on Thursday and Friday, April 23 and 24, from noon-4:00 p.m. Both collection sites will have social-distancing protocols in place.

St. Ursula Academy is located at 4025 Indian Road, Toledo. St. John’s Jesuit is located at 5901 Airport Highway, Toledo.

The two schools have a joint program—the Labre Project—for feeding the underserved in Toledo. For more than eight years, student, parent, and faculty/staff volunteers from the two schools have delivered meals and hospitality to those in need every Monday evening. This special food collection is an offshoot of Labre, which has continued during the pandemic.
