Mary (Conlisk) Werner ’74
Mary Werner is the fifth president of St. Ursula Academy. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati and is a Certified Public Accountant (non-active). She received her master’s degree in Organization Development from Bowling Green State University. Previously, Mary was president of Werner Coaching & Consulting, Inc., a professional services firm that provided a range of executive coaching to leaders and organizations, as well as leadership consulting services to a wide variety of companies. She also spent 30 years as a practicing CPA, including 10 years as a partner in a regional CPA and management consulting firm.
Mary has chaired and been involved in numerous community initiatives, including the Toledo Community Foundation, Northwest Ohio Scholarship Fund, and the Bishop’s Education Council of the Diocese of Toledo. Before returning to SUA as president, Mary served on and chaired her alma mater’s Board of Trustees. Mary earned a certificate in Coaching from the Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara and holds a Professional Certified Coach credential from the International Coach Federation.
In 2022, Mary earned the prestigious 2022 YWCA Milestone Award in the Education category.
Mary and her husband of 43 years, Marty, are proud parents of three accomplished daughters and four grandchildren.
Nichole (Operacz) Flores ’89
Nichole Flores has been a principal for 15 years, serving the last 10 years at St. Ursula Academy. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from John Carroll University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision from Bowling Green State University, she has been committed to Catholic education and working in the Diocese of Toledo for the past 25 years. Nichole has served on the Diocesan Education Council and is in her third year as Board Chair of the Ursuline Education Network, a national organization that promotes the preservation and development of the Ursuline charism and fosters collaboration among Ursuline educational institutions.
Nichole and her husband, John, are parents to two daughters who also attended SUA, Isabel '15 and Abigail '21.
Jennifer (Robertson) Guzman ’95
Director of the Junior Academy Program
Jennifer Guzman has been committed to Catholic education within the Diocese of Toledo for 18 years, serving the last five years as a school principal. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership, both from Lourdes University. She is devoted to St. Ursula’s 165-year legacy of empowering young women through Catholic faith development, academic excellence, and revered traditions.
Jennifer and her husband, Greg, are the parents of a 2015 SUA alumna and a son who attends St. Francis de Sales High School.
Liz Huebner earned a Bachelor of Education in Business and School/Public Health from the University of Toledo. Before joining SUA, Liz held positions are various public health agencies; she was also a science and health teacher at St. Joan of Arc School. She came to St. Ursula in 1997 as a health teacher and Assistant Dean, then became Dean of Students. She has furthered her education through coursework in a master’s degree program in Educational Leadership from the University of Dayton. As part of her position as assistant principal, Liz oversees Student Council, The Merici Society, safety and security of our campus, and disciplinary issues.
Liz has three daughters, two of whom are SUA alumnae.
Director of Academics
Kim has been involved in education for more than 20 years. Prior to moving to Toledo and joining the faculty at SUA in 2013, she worked in medical research, textbook development, assessment, and evaluation; she also taught in higher education. Kim holds a master’s degree in Statistics from Montana State University. While she has lived in many places, she has called Toledo home for more than a decade. Kim taught mathematics at SUA for many years prior to her leadership role. She believes the academics and community offered at SUA are truly special. As the Director of Academics, she enjoys working with students as they explore their interests and pursue their academic journey.
Director of Admissions and Marketing
An Akron, Ohio, native, Rita graduated from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor’s degree in Communications and an emphasis in public relations. For more than 10 years, Rita has worked in secondary Catholic education in Toledo, with positions held in admissions, advancement, and marketing. Upon visiting SUA for the first time, Rita felt a sense of coming home. With a passion for the premier educational experience that St. Ursula Academy provides the young women of northwest Ohio, she feels it is a privilege to share all that SUA offers with prospective families. Rita enjoys getting to know SUA’s newest Arrows through the admissions process and showing the young women of SUA that their lives can be rich in faith, family, and future career. Rita has two daughters—one in the Class of 2026 and one in the Class of 2028!
Lindsay (Launder) Jordan '02
Director of Advancement
Lindsay Jordan earned a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toledo in 2006. While studying at UT, she worked for six years at St. Vincent Hospital, working with families from Toledo by registering and admitting patients. After graduating from college, Lindsay worked in education for nine years, serving as both a middle school teacher and dean. She then transitioned to becoming the Children’s Pastor of Calvary Church, where she had a wide range of responsibilities and built strong relationships with families in the community. As the Director of Advancement at SUA, she joins together her past professional experiences to lead and execute the overall fundraising and constituent engagement strategies to provide for the current and future needs of the school. She is passionate about the mission of SUA and realizes, as a graduate, that her time at SUA laid a strong foundation for who she is today.
Lindsay has four children, including two daughters–one in the Class of 2028 and one in the Class of 2029.
Director of Faculty and Curriculum Development
Malinda Siers earned a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Math Education from the University of Toledo in 1995 and a Master of Educational Leadership from Lourdes University in 2019. She began her career in education at various elementary schools in the Metro Toledo Community teaching technology, mathematics, and science. Since 2001, Malinda has carried out her educational vocation at St. Ursula Academy in Toledo, Ohio. Malinda currently serves as the Director of Faculty and Curriculum Development. Previously, she served as the Director of the Junior Academy Program, math department chair, and math faculty member. Malinda strives to honor the unique educational needs of each student through three lenses: academic, social, and emotional. She believes that every student deserves an educational experience that celebrates the differences of each student and challenges students to think critically and reflect on their learning. Malinda joined the OhioASCD Board of Directors in 2021. OhioASCD is a dedicated and diverse community of educators focused on improving education for every learner.
Holly (Shiple) Martens ’05
Director of Finance
Holly Martens is a Toledo native who spent many years being actively involved in her church and school communities. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Toledo. Before becoming SUA's Director of Finance, Holly worked for 11 years in public accounting, where she helped clients successfully complete their tax returns and financials. Holly has a strong passion for SUA; in fact, her love for accounting started in Mrs. Antonio’s accounting class! She looks forward to sharing this home with her three future Arrows in the years to come.
Director of Technology
Mark Miller received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a major in Accounting, from Bowling Green State University and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of Toledo. After 20 years in business, Mark joined the St. Ursula Academy technology team in 2014. Mark and his wife, Barb, have one son, a graduate of The Ohio State University.
