You're about to begin a whole new life as a high school student. It's an exciting and scary time - a whole new environment with new friends, new challenges, new hopes and dreams. We can promise you that four years at St. Ursula will change your life forever!
At St. Ursula, we'll challenge you to become your best self. We'll encourage you to find your strengths and your talents, and we'll help you to develop them in an environment where you'll feel comfortable being yourself. The words "Soli deo Gloria," meaning "for the glory of God alone," shine in our hallway, welcoming you and all students and guests. The words also call us to live by the Gospel values. Spiritual growth and faith formation are important aspects of our Campus Ministry and Theology Department. Our students attend liturgies throughout the year, we offer prayer daily, and the sacrament of reconciliation is offered regularly. In addition, you'll attend a spiritual retreat with your classmates each year that will inspire and renew your faith.
At St. Ursula you'll be challenged in English, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, Foreign Languages, Computers, Health, Life Skills, Visual Arts, and Dance.
Honors and Advanced Placement (AP) courses are available. Students are encouraged to take rigorous academic courses. SUA's academic program is designed for all levels of ability.
Our faculty is very student-focused. Teachers are accessible and they care about your progress. They get to know you in class and they provide ongoing support that contributes to your success. They also support you in extracurricular and athletic endeavors outside of the classroom.
St. Ursula Academy believes strongly in developing the whole person. Our purpose is clear:
To empower the individual through excellence in academics, spiritual growth, leadership, athletics, and fine arts.
