Humanitas Award

Marilyn Hellrung Wolff '46

Marilyn Hellrung Wolff is this year’s recipient of the St. Ursula Academy Alumnae Humanitas Award, 2012.  Marilyn grew up in the Old Orchard neighborhood in Toledo and attended Gesu School.   She began at St. Ursula Academy in 1942 and graduated in 1946.  She stayed in town and attended the University of Toledo where she studied Business and Marketing. She soon married her husband Jim and they have been together now for over 62 years!  They have 5 children, 12 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.  At age 84, she recalls her life as such, “the first 25 years I was a wife and mother, the next 25 I added  Realtor, and the next 15 after I retired I became a volunteer at Heartbeat of Toledo.” (read more) 

Outstanding Young Alumna Award

Megan Crotte Mahon '98

Megan Crotte Mahon ’98 has been named the Outstanding Young Alumnae of the Year for 2012.  This award is for an alumna who has graduated within the past 15 years and is recognized as outstanding by others in areas of her personal, professional, and volunteer accomplishments.  Megan not only meets the criteria, but truly exemplifies what an SUA graduate has the capabilities to accomplish. Maureen McCarthy Kenney '79

The Alumna Achievement recipient is to be “exceptional in her personal and professional accomplishments, upholding the standards, ideals and mission of St. Ursula Academy.” Through her family, work, and community service, Maureen McCarthy Kenney ‘79 exemplifies these attributes.  (read more)
