St. Ursula prepares every student for college. Each year, our students are accepted at more than 40 of the best colleges and universities in the United States. They arrive at college as confident students with firm foundations of knowledge, ready to handle new academic challenges. Many of our students receive academic or athletic scholarships. In 2009, our graduating class earned over $10 million in academic and athletic scholarships.
Our faculty excels in the way they teach and reach out to students. We are proud of our faculty and their impressive credentials and experience, and we truly admire the relationships they form with our students. They challenge our students academically, and they care about each student's individual progress. Teachers are accessible to all students and provide ongoing support and mentoring.
St. Ursula students have a unique advantage because of the expertise and individual attention offered by our full-time college counselor, Mrs. Tricia Howard. As the only Certificed Education Planner in Northwest Ohio, Mrs. Howard will assist you and your parents as you explore college options and scholarships, and complete applications, essays, and recommendations. As a delegate to the National Association of College Admissions Counseling, Mrs. Howard has the inside knowledge and contacts at colleges nationally to help you find the best fit for your future.
St. Ursula has two guidance counselors who wil work with you over your four years and guide you through class selection, the SAT/ACT testing process, and career exploration.
We also have two certified readers for AP Testing, and one certified reader for the SAT on our faculty. These teachers are credentialed to grade the essay portion of the SAT and AP Tests. This expertise is reflected in the classroom and helps prepare you with effective writing.
